For veteran assistance around Pensacola, Milton, Pace, Gulf Breeze, or Jay, choose the office that matches both your need and your county. Benefits help, health care, job support, and immediate household needs usually have different entry points. This guide brings those starting points together so you can make a more useful first call.

Start with the kind of help you need
- VA or state benefits: contact your county’s veterans services office.
- A medical appointment or VA enrollment: start with the Pensacola VA Clinic’s official information.
- Food, shelter, utilities, or another local household need: use 211 Northwest Florida’s resource finder.
- Employment: review CareerSource Escarosa’s veteran services.
- A legal problem: distinguish benefits representation from civil legal aid using FTVA’s legal-help guide.
Santa Rosa County: Milton, Pace, Gulf Breeze, and Jay
Santa Rosa County Veterans Services describes help with VA claims, other VA benefits, and Florida veteran benefits questions. Its page lists offices in Milton and Gulf Breeze and a Jay location by appointment only.
The listed Milton office is at 6051 Old Bagdad Highway, Suite 204, Milton, Florida 32583. The program’s published telephone number is 850-981-7155. Before traveling, confirm the right location and appointment process for the issue you need to discuss. Follow the county’s own instructions for documents and deadlines.
Escambia County: Pensacola and surrounding communities
Escambia County Veterans Services says its accredited Veteran Service Officers help residents with VA, state, and local benefits at no cost. The county asks visitors to call for an appointment.
The published number is 850-595-2409. The listed office is at 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola, Florida 32505. Explain your benefit question when booking so you can confirm which records to bring. A county benefits appointment is not automatically an appointment with an attorney for an unrelated court case.
Medical care: Pensacola VA Clinic
The Pensacola VA Clinic lists its location at 790 Veterans Way, Pensacola, Florida 32507. Its official page describes available services, appointment arrangements, and transportation information. Use that page to reach the relevant service instead of assuming every department accepts walk-ins.
For an enrollment or cost question, use VA’s official health care information. Dental coverage has separate rules; see our dental assistance guide. Ask the care team about any transportation arrangement you need before the day of the appointment.
Getting to an appointment from your community
Before traveling from Milton, Pace, Gulf Breeze, Jay, or another community, use the Pensacola VA Clinic’s official contact information to ask which transportation office serves your pickup address and appointment destination. Confirm the request deadline, return journey, wheelchair access, and whether a caregiver can ride. Confirm an actual booking before relying on a van or shuttle.
For the difference between arranging a ride and requesting travel reimbursement, see the transportation section of our veteran health care guide. Transportation sources checked October 16, 2026.
Food, rent, utilities, and local basic needs
211 Northwest Florida, operated through United Way of West Florida, connects people with community services across ten Florida Panhandle counties, including Escambia and Santa Rosa. Its page links to an online community database and the current resource guide.
Search using your current location and specific need. A directory result is a starting point, not a promise that funding, a bed, or a food distribution is available today. Ask the provider about its service area and current intake. Our financial and housing assistance guide has a checklist for that conversation.
Employment: CareerSource Escarosa
CareerSource Escarosa’s veteran and military family intake page provides a current starting point for employment support. Its career services page describes job-search guidance, resume assistance, training information, and local career centers. Use these official intake and contact routes to confirm the right service and current appointment options.
Legal help: match the problem to the provider
A benefits application, an eviction notice, and a family law case may require different help. Our free legal help for veterans guide explains how to separate these routes and links to official providers. Mention any actual filing or hearing deadline when contacting an organization; do not assume a resource request changes that deadline.
Keep the next step clear
For each call, note the organization, the date, the person or department reached, and the next action. Ask whether your county is served, whether an appointment is needed, and how to send documents through the program’s own process. If the program cannot help, ask for the name of the next office rather than ending with only a general referral.
For additional categories or another location, browse FTVA’s nationwide veteran resources. Send a public-link correction through our contact page; do not include medical records, Social Security numbers, or a DD214 in a routine correction message.
